The Euro NCAP has awarded the Škoda Scala the highest possible rating of five stars, thereby certifying that the car offers optimum protection for all those on board. In the Adult Occupant Protection category, the Scala received a score of 97 per cent of all possible points. This is one of the highest ratings in the history of the Euro NCAP. Testers also awarded the full six points for cyclist protection, reflecting the beneficial effect of the Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian and Cyclist Protection.

The Škoda Scala provides a high level of passive safety with up to nine airbags and a proactive occupant protection system, Crew Protect Assist.

The Scala features the eCall system, which communicates information such as the car’s location, the number of persons in the car, position of the car before and after the accident and status in the event of an accident, and can also be activated manually at any time via buttons in the roof module.

The compact Scala offers a host of advanced driver-assistance systems previously the preserve of higher-end vehicles to keep an eye on safety in busy city traffic and on long stretches of motorway.
