The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Scala Monte Carlo incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

When reversing out of parking bays, Rear Traffic Alert recognises vehicles approaching from the sides. An acoustic signal warns of an impending collision. The “critical side” is shown first in yellow and then in red on the infotainment display. The brakes are applied automatically if necessary.

When reverse gear is engaged, the camera in the tailgate is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. The system shows the space behind the car and indicates the driving line, based on the vehicle width.
