Front Assist with Collision Avoidance Assist
The Front Assist is a collision-alert safety system. When faced with an unavoidable collision, it applies the brakes to minimise the consequences. It also performs an emergency stop if a pedestrian or cyclist attempts to cross the path of the car. The system can register pedestrians and cyclists travelling in the same direction as the car and uses the same warning and braking process for these road users as it does for vehicles ahead.
In a critical situation, where Front Assist intervenes by braking and the driver indicates they are taking evasive action by the way they move the steering wheel, Collision Avoidance Assist makes targeted steering interventions to help drive around the obstacle.

Crossroad Assist
Crossroad Assist helps when you’re edging out into a junction with limited visibility. Using radar sensors integrated into the corners of the bumper, it supports you when entering blind intersections and can warn you of approaching vehicles or cyclists, so you can move off with greater confidence.

Turn Assist
Turn Assist, supplied as part of Front Assist, is designed to monitor oncoming vehicles both when you are turning across their path — for example at a junction — and when you are continuing straight ahead. If there is an immediate danger of collision, it brings the vehicle to a complete standstill and triggers a warning signal.

Side Assist
Thanks to radar sensors at the rear of the car, Side Assist detects vehicles approaching from behind or in the car’s blind spot. The driver is informed of this by an LED signal on the inside of the wing mirror housing. Side Assist can detect vehicles up to 90 m away and thus also effectively warns the driver of hazardous situations on motorways and dual carriageways.

Exit Warning
This safety feature is another of Side Assist’s complementary functions. Exit Warning visually and acoustically warns the driver and other passengers, when, for example, they are exiting a parallel-parked car, if opening the door could result in a collision with another vehicle, a cyclist, an electric scooter, or a jogger. Exit Warning makes use of Side Assist’s rear radars and monitors the area behind and along the sides of the car up to a distance of 40 m.

Crew Protect Assist
The system pre-tensions the front seat belts in the event of an imminent collision or in unstable driving situations and engages with ESC to close the side windows almost fully in order to prevent foreign objects from entering the vehicle.

Multi-Collision Brake
If the Peaq is involved in an accident and the airbags are activated, it could remain in motion and cause another accident, which is where the Multi-Collision Brake comes in, bringing the vehicle to a standstill to prevent a pile-up.

Driver alert system with driver monitoring
Driver fatigue and momentary distraction are often to blame for dangerous situations on roads. The driver alert system with driver monitoring is designed to help prevent this from happening. It monitors driving behaviour from the start of the journey to assess fatigue levels and whether enough attention is being paid to the road. This safety assist system, with direct driver monitoring via the interior camera, issues a warning if greater concentration is needed or if a break or rest is recommended.
