ŠKODA ambassador Vogue Williams takes to the skies for ŠKODA Skydive in aid of Dogs Trust

ŠKODA Ireland have donated €5,000 to dog welfare charity, Dog’s Trust, through the inaugural ŠKODA Skydive which saw Vogue Williams take to the skies and tick a skydive off her bucket list!

Vogue was joined by three brave souls - Brian Deery, Kellie Lynch and Sinead Loftus - who were selected to undertake the challenge following a month-long nationwide competition, which saw 304 people from around the country apply to help ŠKODA raise money for their charity partner, Dogs Trust.

The initiative was rolled out to mark five years of partnership between the two organisations and the money donated by ŠKODA will cover the cost of feeding all the puppies in Dogs Trust’s dedicated Puppy Wing for six months.

Speaking after the skydive, ŠKODA ambassador Vogue Williams, said: “I can’t believe I’ve actually done a skydive! I won’t lie – I was absolutely terrified beforehand but it’s been on my bucket list for a long time so when the chance came up to do this with ŠKODA and help them to reach their target of €5,000 for Dogs Trust at the same time, I knew I couldn’t turn it down. I’m thrilled that so much money has been raised to help Dogs Trust continue their great work.”

Also speaking from the airfield, Cathal Kealey, PR Manager at ŠKODA Ireland, said: “We want to thank all those who got behind this campaign for Dogs Trust to raise awareness of the fantastic work that they do each and every day and to help them continue that work. Dogs Trust have been our charity partner for five years so it feels very appropriate to mark that milestone with a €5,000 donation while at the same time doing something a bit different and fun. Our three winners, Brian, Kellie and Sinead were great sports so I want to thank them too.”
