Ireland's Only Band A SUV

 

The Yeti GreenLine proves that ŠKODA is one of the most efficient and environmentally-conscious manufacturers by delivering Ireland’s first Band-A SUV. With emissions of only 119g/km, the Yeti GreenLine is the only Band-A SUV on the market today and, subsequently has an annual road tax of only €104.

Despite the robust SUV appearance of the Yeti, the GreenLine has exceptional on road handling that rivals many competing saloons.

 

The environmentally-friendly GreenLine is powered by a new 1.6 TDI CR DPF/77kW (105bhp) turbo Diesel engine with a common-rail injection system and DPF (diesel particle filter). With it, the car achieves a combined consumption of only 4.6 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres (61.4mpg) and easily meets the demanding EU5 emissions standard (CO2 emissions of only 119g/km). The Yeti GreenLine is surprisingly agile, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.1 seconds and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 176 km/h.

 

Utilising the latest technology we have improved consumption and emissions on the Yeti even further. Our Start-stop system reduces consumption by automatically and temporarily switching off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop (for example when waiting at traffic lights). Brake energy recuperation and optimised transmissions ensure engine power is optimized while tyres with reduced rolling resistance and improved aerodynamics result in lower drag coefficients.

1.6 TDI 105 bhp

A turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine with direct high-pressure fuel injection and a Diesel particle filter significantly contributes to the vehicle’s performance.

Brake Energy Recuperation

Normally when a vehicle decelerates the alternator produces more electrical energy than the appliances need. The Yeti GreenLine harnesses this energy so the surplus is stored in the battery. When driving at a constant speed, the appliances are then powered by the battery, with less drag applied on the alternator.

Aerodynamics

To improve aerodynamics the Yeti’s ground clearance has been reduced by 25mm. In technical terms the air drag coefficient (cx) has improved which results in a fall in fuel consumption.

16” Moon Light Alloy Wheels

Sixteen-inch Moon light alloy wheels are standard on Yeti GreenLine vehicles. They come complete with tyres with lower rolling resistance.
