With regard to your safety…

Your safety is our priority. For this reason when designing the new Superb Combi we used the most up-to-date construction methods to build a vehicle that achieved a 5-Star NCAP rating for adult occupant safety.

In a host of demanding tests the new Superb displayed that it knows how to look after its passenger’s safety perfectly, and complied with the strictest criteria in this sphere.
Driver and Passenger Airbags, Side Airbags and a Driver knee airbag are all located in the front of the vehicle. Curtain airbags extend from the roof to protect occupants from upper body injuries in the event of a side collision.

A new feature for Škoda vehicles is the parking assistant. Only a few prestige car manufacturers in the world offer this practical aid which was developed for parallel parking.
The parking assistant uses parking sensors in the front, side and rear of the car to calculate distances and turning angles. By a simple touch of a button the parking assistant will assess whether the distance between vehicles is sufficient. You then simply proceed to reverse the car as normal without placing your hands on the wheel. The parking assistant will turn the wheels of the car, while you control the speed and the braking of the vehicle.

The headlamps of the new model Superb are an unusual shape compared to other models in the Škoda range, the profile of the lens sweeps all the way to the side of the vehicle. They form a powerfully dominant aggressive feature of the car.

Bi-Xenon headlamps (available on Elegance version) feature outstanding illumination and, combined with the new AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System), increase road visibility and safety. They automatically adapt the lighting to various travel situations by swiveling into bends and changing the illuminated surface of the road depending on cornering and for city, motorway or rain conditions.
The “tourist light” function can be used by drivers traveling to the continent. Under normal circumstances vehicle lighting requires modification to cope with driving on the opposite side of the road. This is now controlled by the driver form the vehicle so physical modifications are now a thing of the past.

TSA
The stabilising TSA (Trailer Stability Assist) system is automatically supplied together with ESP. By braking the wheels and reducing the engine’s torque, it can effectively prevent uncontrollable swinging of the car and trailer.
Rear Windscreen Wiper
The rear Aero wiper can have an automatic rear window wiping function. The driver will therefore have a good overview of the situation behind the car even in heavy rain.
Day Lights
The front fog lights were re-designed for the Superb Combi and extended to include independent day lighting and therefore more economical and safer lights for day use.
4x4
The Škoda Suberb Combi can boast advanced all-wheel drive through a fourth generation Haldex clutch. This guarantees great handling and, together with ABS, ESP and EDS, better traction and control on slippery surfaces.
