Maximum feeling of safety in the Škoda Roomster

Safety and security are crucial for every family. You will be pleased to know that the Roomster provides the most modern active and passive safety features for the safety of all occupants. With its extensive tried and tested modern safety systems both you and your passengers can be transported with style and driving confidence.

The Škoda Roomster has several new safety elements. The obvious passive features include Driver and Passenger Airbags across the range while the Sport and Comfort models have curtain airbags as standard. All Roomster versions have side airbags for protection against side impacts. For families with young children who would like to mount a baby chair (rear facing) in the front passenger seat we have installed a feature that will allow you to temporarily disable the front passenger airbag. For children in the rear - all rear seats in the Škoda model range are prepared for mounting children’s seats using the renowned ISOFIX fitting system.
We have even gone as far as considering the safety of people in our community. The Front bonnet and the front bumper have been designed in such a way as to limit injuries to pedestrians upon impact.
The driver is often oblivious to the active safety features that are continuously monitoring every driving situation. The various features include  Anti- Wheel Spin Regulation System (ASR) better known as Traction Control, Electronic Differential Lock (EDS), which can be combined with Electronic Stability Program (ESP)*, Dual Rate Brake Assistant and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (TPM)* All these features work harmoniously with the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Fog lights with “corner” function

When cornering or turning at slow speeds this feature will illuminate blind or dark spots automatically using the left or right fog lamp. This feature can be added to the Style, Sport and Elegance models as an optional extra.

Parking sensors

By adding ultrasound parking sensors you will be able to manoeuvre your Roomster into the tightest parking places with ease. The sensors monitor the distance between the car and the nearest obstacle and relay the information back to you through a display on the Radio Screen as well as acoustic signals.

Measuring tyre pressure

TPM (tyre pressure monitoring) is an optional safety feature on the Škoda Roomster. Incorrect tyre pressure compromises vehicle control and can often lead to accidents. By constantly monitoring the ratio of a wheel’s revolutions in relation to the other tyres it can accurately determine if a wheel is losing pressure. You are then warned by a light on the dash so you can have the problem rectified.

Rear lights

The vertical arrangement of the rear lights increase visibility. The rear lights are also a significant design element of all models in the Škoda brand. When driving at night a characteristic “C” shape can be seen.
