Petrol engines

The most popular drive unit for the Roomster is a 1.2 HTP/59 kW (70bhp) engine. Those who want a more dynamic drive could opt for the the 1.4 16V/63 kW (85bhp) or 1.6 16V (105bhp) petrol engines.

Diesel engines

You can choose from a range of three Diesel engines. The most popular are the 1.4 TDI PD turbo Diesel engines with power outputs of 51 kW (70bhp) and 59 kW (80bhp) respectively. The top of the range is the 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW (105bhp) engine.

Manual gearboxes

All the engines on offer are combined with one of two types of manual five-speed gearbox. They are both characterised by precise and easy operation with short gear shifts.

Automatic gearbox

The automatic transmission, designed for the 1.6 16V/77 kW (105bhp) has six gears with a Tiptronic manual gear changing feature.
