We make no compromises in the area of passenger safety. The most advanced safety technology available today is found in our new Octavia.
You don’t make compromises regarding your family's safety and we won’t either.

The entry Octavia model comes with the passive elements ABS, ASR, EBD, MBA and HBA.

In addition the basic active equipment includes large capacity airbags for the driver and front passenger as well as side airbags for protection against side impacts. For the safety of the youngest members of your family the front passenger airbag can be deactivated temporarily if you decide to carry a baby seat on the front passenger seat.

 The new Octavia is also equipped with three-point adjustable front seatbelts, three three-point seatbelts in the rear, a fourth generation immobilizer as well as safety lights on the inside of the doors that advise passing cars that your door is open. In the event of a collision the fuel supply will be cut off to prevent fire, the doors of the vehicle will automatically unlock and the hazard and interior lights will be applied.

ESP Stabilisation System

ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program) together with the ABS, EBV, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, DSR and ESBS monitor all four wheels. Should a loss of control occur the system will automatically stabilise the vehicle by braking one or more wheels. ESP is standard on all 4x4 Octavia vehicles. 

Headrests

In addition to the solid structure of the body and seatbelts, the highest possible degree of protection for the passengers is provided by new, more effective headrests with the WOKS (whiplash optimized head restraints) system in the front seats and three adjustable headrests for passengers in the rear.

Airbags

Airbags are among the most important safety elements. The new Octavia provides passengers with driver and front passenger airbags as well as side airbags.
