We have a new 1.6 TDI CR low CO2 Diesel engine that achieves the best possible Band-A Category for excellent fuel economy and low emissions. The 1.6 TDI CR can also be fitted with a Automatic 7-Speed DSG Transmission for smooth relaxing driving.

 
We have made serious inroads with turbo charged petrol technology by producing powerful low CO2 engines, including the new 1.2 TSI (Band-B €156 Road Tax) with a 6-speed manual transmission or alternatively with a 7-speed DSG Automatic transmission.

1.2 TSI Petrol Engine

With the new 1.2 TSI, 105bhp/77 kW petrol engine, the Octavia emits only 136 g/km of CO2 and consumes just 5.7 litres (49.5mpg) per 100 km. This results in Band-B CO2 taxation.

Diesel Engines

The tried-and-tested 1.9 TDI, 105bhp/77 kW and 2.0 TDI, 140bhp/103 kW turbo Diesel engines make a return in the new Octavia. However the newest and most efficient engine in the range is the new 1.6 TDI CR with annual road tax of only €104

Mechanical Gearboxes

All Octavia vehicles now come with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. (Except 1.4MPI, 1.6 TDI CR & 1.9TDI)

Automatic Gearboxes

In addition to the existing 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox we know from the Diesel range we now have a 7-speed automatic DSG gearbox for the 1.2TSI, 1.4TSI and 1.8 TSI petrol engines as well as the 1.6 TDI CR Diesel engine.
