Octavia gets new character

The Octavia debuted in 1998 and since then over 2 million vehicles have been sold worldwide, in Ireland we have delivered over 32,000 Octavia’s. Such traits as abundant luggage and interior space were basis for this success so we maintained these strengths while increasing specification levels and engine offering across the Octavia range. Or as we say “we made good better”.

At the outset the Octavia retains the overall shape of the outgoing model while the front and rear of the car have been given a complete transformation including newly shaped wrap around headlamps, a more robust radiator grille and a one-piece bumper. The rear part of the vehicle receives a new tail lamp arrangement and a dynamic body coloured bumper setup with stylish reflectors on the lower section.

For the interior a higher standard of materials and fabrics are fitted across three equipment levels (Classic, Ambiente & Elegance). The dashboard underwent a dramatic change with new controls and illumination while decorative strips on the doors and the central console have been redesigned.

Centre Armrest
The centre armrest between the front seats doubles as a convenient storage area. (If the car has air conditioning this area will be cooled). Cleverly concealed in the storage area is an audio auxiliary input which enables you to play your favorite music from your iPod or mp3 player through the Octavia sound system.
New Headlights
The new wrap around headlights are significantly larger and more dominant. They now reach to the sides of the body and give the elegant front of the Octavia an even more impressive and dynamic appearance. Xenon lights with turning modules are also available from our list of optional extras.
Amundsen Multimedia System
The optional Amundsen Satellite Navigation System operates through a 5” colour touch screen display. For listening to your music collection and radio this system featuring an AM/FM radio with RDS and TP function, a dual antenna for improved FM reception, a CD, CD-MP3 and CD-WMA player. The colour screen also displays information from the Climatronic air conditioning and parking sensors.
Luggage Space
The new Octavia is offered in both Hatchback and Combi (Estate version) with the hatch providing one of the largest luggage capacities in its class with 560l of luggage space. The Combi could be seen as a viable SUV alternative with roof bars, a 4x4 option and 1620l of luggage space with the seats folded down.
