The registration for filing an application for a long-term visa or an application for a long-term residence permit at the embassy is done by means of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs internet system VISAPOINT
, if this system is available in the country concerned.
Allow three or four months for processing of long-stay visa applications and file a long-stay visa application sufficiently in advance.
Extensions of student visas can be obtained in the Czech Republic.

Health insurance for foreigners:

If you arrive in the Czech Republic as a tourist, student, or stay here temporarily, you need settle your health insurance. Usual price for six-month insurance is about 6000 CZK/240 EUR. (1 EUR = 25 CZK). This is list of insurance companies are most popular with providing foreigners´ health insurance:

Students from European Union countries should register with one of the local health insurance companies after arriving in the Czech Republic. Students will get a local health insurance number, which will simplify and speed up the administrative procedure if they have to visit a Czech doctor. Please, don´t forget to bring with you a European Health Insurance Card.
Students from countries outside the EU must have a personal health insurance policy. If they visit a doctor in the Czech Republic, they will have to pay for their treatment in cash; after returning to their home country they should contact their health insurance company for reimbursement.
ŠKODA AUTO University usually makes arrangement for the students in the UNO hostel in Mladá Boleslav. The rooms are fully equipped, and kitchen facilities are available. The price for our students amounts to approximately 100 EUR per month. Wi-fi internet connection is also available for 7 EUR per month, the internet and free wi-fi is, however, available at the university campus. There is a bus stop and main railway station nearby, the campus is in the walking distance (1.5 km approximately).
In addition if students are interested in hiring a private room or a flat, the school will pass on all available information and contacts. The price varies in accordance to size and facilities however it is usually higher than the cost of the hostel. If you decide not to accept accommodation through the school, you can rent a flat.

Recognition of education:

It is the recognition of achieved foreign education by home authorities. ŠKODA AUTO University usually helps our students to gain recognition of foreign education.
Regional offices deal with recognition of secondary education and Czech public universities deal with recognition of Bachelor or Master Degree.

1. Recognition of secondary education
For the process of recognition of secondary education these following documents are required:
Certified copy of school-leaving certification including supplement;
Verified school-leaving certification by Apostille including supplement;
Super-legalization *
Syllabuses of graduated courses and amount of studied hours of
all courses;
Document proving college accreditation;
Certified translations of both documents into Czech.
2. Recognition of Bachelor Degree (Master Degree)
For the process of recognition of Bachelor or Master Degree these following documents are required:
Certified copy of Bachelor diploma (or Master diploma) including supplement;
Verified Bachelor diploma (or Master diploma) by Apostille including supplement;
Super-legalization *
Syllabuses of graduated courses and amount of studied hours of all courses;
Document proving university accreditation;
Certified translations of both documents into Czech or English.
Before applying for recognition, each student has to prove the authenticity of documents in the following manner. Type of verification depends on the type of contract that the Czech Republic has concluded with the country of the requesting student.
