ŠKODA AUTO and Tour de France
– alliance with a legend

ŠKODA AUTO is the official partner of the famous Tour de France and also a member of the prestigious Club Tour de France, together with the LCL bank, retail chain Carrefour and producer of mineral water Vittel (Nestlé) since 2004.

Within the scope of the partnership with the Tour, ŠKODA provides a large fleet of approximately 250 Superb, Superb Combi, Octavia, Fabia and Roomster vehicles for the race. Apart from the managers of the race Škoda vehicles also transport all members of the organization team together with many partners and media representatives.

In 2010 ŠKODA AUTO prolonged its partnership with Tour de France until 2013. ŠKODA AUTO is also the sponsor of the white jersey for the most successful young competitor younger than 25 years.

In the world of sport, the Tour is the third most watched event (after the Olympics and the World football championships). Up to 15 million spectators are present on the race route, another two billion watch the event on their television sets during broadcasts to 200 countries. This spectator interest precisely corresponds to the ambitions and strategy of the ŠKODA brand and its products.
